I WILL HAVE THE BIGGEST MELTDOWN IN THIS THREAD IF TOY STORY 3 MAKES IT ANYWHERE NEAR THIS LIST

I'd say the whole Toy Story series is kinda over rated. I couldn't get through the first one. Such a dull, boring movie. Everyone praises it just because it was the first animation. If it was released around this time, people would recognize it as one of the worst animated movies ever.

Actually, I saw TS1 first roughly a year ago and really liked its story and presentation. TS3 is overrated, though.

Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile, he's captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Stane from misusing his research.

TomatoMeter - 93%

IMDb - 7.9

Metacritic - 79

Why Critics Think It's Overrated"Not only does Downey pull this off, he actually manages to make his solo scenes the most captivating segments of the film. Iron Man is better when Robert Downey Jr. is alone on the screen than when he's sharing it." - Aaron Mesh, Willamettle Week

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated -

"I'm getting fed up with Marvel's Happy Meals coming off their conveyor belts." - The Stingray

Fun Fact - "Downey turned 48 last month, which makes him one of the oldest actors to ever play a superhero."

Iron man is a bit overrated but not too much to be on this list

What's that?! You think a certain movie shouldn't be on this list?! What an unexpected development! I'm certain we won't see something like this for the rest of the list!!!

The Passion of the Christ

(72 points and 4 votes)

The Passion of The Christ focusses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. The film begins in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus has gone to pray after sitting the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death.

TomatoMeter - 49%

IMDb - 7.1

Metacritic - 47

Box Office - 370m DOM / 611m WW

Why Critics Think It's Overrated -

"If I were a Christian, I'd be appalled to have this primitive and pornographic bloodbath presume to speak for me." - Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader

"The Passion of the Christ is so relentlessly focused on the savagery of Jesus' final hours that this film seems to arise less from love than from wrath, and to succeed more in assaulting the spirit than in uplifting it." - A.O Scott, New York Times

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated -

"This film is a pile of crap disguised as a masterpiece by religious people. It's basically a longer Saw movie with a worse and less believable plot which relied on its uneccessary over the top gore to earn money. If people want to remembers Jesus, then why can't they remember him for all the good he did? I guess Mel Gibson was smart enough to release that Jesus + gore = mega bucks.

James caviezal was the only good thing about this movie, then again all he had to do was act in pain for 2 hours." - Jessie

Fun FactThis is the highest-grossing rated R film in US box office history earning $370 million.
